Club News July 9th

Basking in glorious sunshine the turnout for Jim Kehoe Captains weekend was fantastic the weather was great the course was in fantastic condition (great credit to the course staff)and the food was excellent as always.
The winner was Patrick Donovan with a fantastic score of 103,
In 2nd place was Martin o Halloran with a score of 103.5
The best gross was won by Jeffrey Lynch with a score of 73
In 3rd place was Brendan Butler with a score of 104
The leading qualifier was Tommy Phelan with a score of 66
In 4th place was John O Dwyer with a score of 105,
In 5th place was John Healy with a score of 105.5
2nd in the gross was Patrick O Hara with score of 75
The past captain was Paul Roche with a score of 69
The best Senior was Michael Dempsey with a score of 69
The front 9 was won by Dick O Shea with a score of 32
The back 9 was won by Ted Walsh with a score of 31.5
The long handicap was won by Seamus Foster with a score of 69
And the best Junior was Blade o Gorman with a score of 71.

In the Geraldine cup for played on the 3rd of July in an 18 hole stroke competition
In 1st place with a score of 69 Pauline o Brien,
In 2nd place with a score of 69 Eileen o Shea
In 3rd place with a score of 71 Betty Mc Grath
In 4th place with a score of 72 Carmel o Sullivan
In 5th place with a score of 73 Patsy Murphy.
In the 9 hole competition competition held on the same day
Mary Carew won with a score of 15 points And Mary Croke was 2nd with a score of 14 points .
In the R G A 15 hole Rumble held on the 2nd of July,
In 1st place with a score of 75 points was Mick Power Tom Walsh and Roger Beekan
In 2nd place with a score of 75 points on c/b was John Holden ,Michael Comerford and Paddy Brett,
In 3rd place with a score 68 points was John Grace Murt Duggan and Glenn Wilson.
Lotto results and there was a winner,with the Jackpot at 3550 euro it was won by Don Bolger, the numbers drawn were 3 11 and 33,the seller was Joe Cuddihy ,next week the jackpot will be 750 euro.
On Thursday last in the Jb Carr competition Callan were at home to the K Club and unfortunately due to a gallant effort they went down y the odd match by 3 games to 2,it has been a fantastic effort by all concerned, a sincere congratulations to John Grace and all the team.

Next weekend sees the club host a Junior and Intermediate scratch Cup please check your diary and the time sheet for vacancies.
On Friday and every Friday there is a Ladies and Gents Open Singles competition ,
On Wednesday there is an Open Gents singles competition .
